Outside General Counsel

Our Business and Intellectual Property General Counsel packages are designed to assist business owners with their legal needs on an ongoing, predictable basis. We had a mentor who liked to say (in a strong Southern drawl) “it’s a lot easier to build a fence, then to pull an ox out of a ditch.” Put another way, it’s important to be proactive, to avoid legal issues, rather than being reactive to problems as they pop up. For example it’s better to spend a thousand bucks on a written contract, rather than $50,000 in court fighting to settle a handshake dispute.

We act as the Outside General Counsel for businesses so we can provide proactive, predictable legal services to “keep your ox out of the ditch.” Our business clients have ongoing access to our full service business law firm for a reasonable monthly fee.
